Toms River East 2025 Scholarship Night
On Wednesday May 28 at Toms River East’s Scholarship Night, I’m Kind of a Big Deal – In Memory of Anthony Maruca had the incredible honor of awarding scholarships to three amazing students. Thanks to the continued support of our annual walk, we’re able to give back to students who’ve been personally impacted by allergies, either themselves or through a loved one. Their powerful essays reminded us why awareness and education matter so deeply.

2024 Annual Walk
Thank you to everyone who participated in our second annual walk In Memory of Anthony Maruca. We were so overwhelmed with the outpouring love and dedication shown at the walk. Your donations, registration, attendance and support means the world to us. We are looking forward to helping those who have food allergies or who are advocates for food allergies in the future with scholarships. See you next year!
Toms River East 2024 Scholarship Night
On May 30, I’m Kind of A Big Deal- In Memory of Anthony Maruca, had the honor to present two scholarship awards at the Toms River High School East’s Scholarship Award Ceremony. This year our scholarship applicant requirements were to write an essay describing how food allergies have affected your life and how either you have overcome these challenges or helped a family member or loved one overcome these challenges. We are so proud of all the applicants and definitely had a hard time picking two! We are looking forward to many years of scholarships. We know Anthony was with us on this night and proud 🩵
First Annual Walk
“Im Kind of a Big Deal In Memory of Anthony Maruca” had our first annual walk on October 14th 2023. Thanks to all of our generous participants and donators, our first walk was a huge success. We had over 200 walkers and a lot of interest in our educational table. Our paint your pumpkin teal table in honor of the Teal Pumpkin Project was a huge hit with the kids. Below are some photos from our first annual walk. We truly would like to give a big thank you to all who came out or supported our very important cause.
